For my painting I chose to do a water color of a photo I took in India this past spring. The photo is of a woman balancing an empty water jug on her head. I was in India for humanitarian work and this woman was from the first slum that we helped build a bore well for.
I like photography so while I was in India I worked on multiple photography projects. I also love to draw and paint, but realized I hadn't yet done anything artistic with my travels to India besides photography so it was nice to transfer my photo over to paper. Painting is always a very relaxing activity for me so it was nice to meditate and reflect on my experiences there.
The media I used was water color pencils on water color parchment.
