Even though this song is called Jessica, I'm not currently in love with any girls named Jessica. It's just the name that first came to mind and it seemed to fit with the rest of the song. I hope that doesn't disappoint anybody too badly.
I've done lots of songwriting before, so this exercise wasn't necessarily new...but it seems that a lot of times the ideas for a song can be coming from the subconscious and we just kinda have to find them. At least for this song it took a little while to get started with an idea that I thought was decent, but as soon as I started with it everything else came very easily. We just need to tap into our ideas that are lying just under the surface and then we can get something good to come out of it.
