Google Chrome created this awesome interactive music video to Arcade Fire's song "We Used To Wait," and it features the house you grew up in! It works best on the Google Chrome browser but I played it on Safari and it works as well. Have fun!

Finding 4 - Hawk

I thought for this post I would post two things for y'all.

1. The first one is helpful. You might already know about this, but this is a great place to download different fonts to your computer. The majority of them are free which is great when Photoshop or Word don't have the fonts you are looking for.  http://www.dafont.com/

Finding #4: Emily Jacobsen: Pinterest

I just discovered Pinterest, a new social media site that is basically a virtual pin board! You collect photos of things you love from wherever you find them online, tag or "pin" them to your profile, and then categorize them. It is a genius idea. If you are anything like me and are constantly saving to your hardrive or sending emails to yourself, you're going to love this.

I was finally invited to join Pinterest yesterday so my profile is brand spanking new. Pinterest is still in beta mode, so if you like what you see, get on the waiting list to get an invite! The link to my page is at the bottom of this post.

Oh The Things You Can Do With Your Hands- Finding Stuff 4 -Elise Meservy

Hands are phenomenal. With them we can hold our cereal spoon, write a letter, play the piano, dry a tear, or help a friend up. Oppositely with hands we can also pick our noses, slap someone's cheek, or pull a trigger.

Findings #4: Things that shouldn't be found...

Itunes is fantastic. I love the fact that I can get any song, anytime and have it in the palm of my hand within minutes. However, with this new technology comes the death of album art we once had with albums and CD’s. My good friend Jeff Bridges is trying to save the exquisiteness of really bad album covers by including some of the worst album covers ever on his web site. Finding #4-Laura Coalwell-Refryclators

Some cool creative kids at Leo Burnett decided to raise awareness about their client's refrigerator recycling program, by commissioning 9 local artists to make masterpieces out of old ice boxes.

I think this is such a cool idea. I love when people are able to create something beautiful with old, used materials.

Finding Stuff #4: Ideating

A while ago, one of my co-workers showed me this. It reminded me of what I do when I try to come up with new ideas. After you think about something for a while, you just have to ideate. Otherwise you go crazy.

I think this is a really cool idea. These guys travel to cities all over the world asking random people on the street the same question. It's interesting how much you can learn about someone from their answer.
Watch for the gumball guy he's my favorite!!!

These print ads were pretty interesting to me. It is a very simple idea that they are portraying. They want to get the message across that wearing their brand of helmets is like having a whole bunch of hands protect your head. I think it is powerful in a very simple way. We have seen other ads for helmets in this class and I just liked finding another approach for advertising helmets. I think it is cool how there is barely any copy.
