This poem was due two days ago
I would've done it but didn't know
What assignment was due or the specs
In order to de-rut and mentally flex
The truth is I lost my binder
I searched and couldn't find 'er
I looked for hours and didn't call
One of you to ask what to post on this wall.
Did I have any of your numbers at all?
Why didn't I dial; why did I stall?
Because once I get sidetracked . . .
