I really liked these ads the first time I saw them in the Adlab. These are only two of all the ads created for the student film association's campaign. I like how simple the images are but they still bring the message across strongly. I really think they are visually appealing and I love the clever headlines.
Also if you want to see the rest they can be found on http://www.byuadlab.com/ under the portfolio section.
Sometimes less is more that's for sure. The tagline at the bottom was good, and it really made me want to fully grasp the humor and message behind the ads. Me gusto mucho.
ReplyDeleteI remember the first time I saw these ads, they are great! I love how they capitalize on what the audience already knows. These are totally perfect for their audience.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I'm a part of their target audience, because I'm not exactly sure what it's getting at. I do like the simplicity of it, that seems to be the thing to do in order to get people's attention. Especially since I can't stop thinking about it right now.

ReplyDeleteHmm, I guess I assumed it's more for the people in the society or people who would be movie geeks enough to want to be in it, especially with the tagline of "If you get this, you get us." What do you all think?
ReplyDeleteSo I get the first one, and i watch a ton of movies-why can i not get the second one? someone help me out. I like these though, super clever and simple!
ReplyDeleteI think it is from the Disney movie Up...it is the pin that Ellie gives to Carl when they were kids. (I had to look this up)
