In The Fall from Steve Cutts on Vimeo.
Just a warning for the rest of the semester: I love animation. This one is a little morbid, but I saw it today and really liked the animation style and the message. The guy who made it, Steve Cutts, is a brilliant artist who does all sorts of fun stuff so if you want to look at some great character design check out his website http://cargocollective.com/stevecuttsdesign.
This is an interesting video. I do like the drawing style that this artist has in this video...It seems like it is simple and fun (although I bet the animation process probably isn't simple). I checked out the website and I liked some of his sketches.
ReplyDeleteHe is really talented. I noticed on his website he is able to use all sorts of artistic mediums to deliver messages which is awesome.
ReplyDeleteHey David thanks for sharing this! I enjoyed the animation and the delivery of the story. I was laughing out loud of how they recapped the guys life especially with how it showed the change in hair style throughout his life. Funny stuff.
ReplyDeleteThat was funny. I didn't think it would be, but it was. I loved how at the end it was like he was ok with dying because he had realized he had lived the bests parts of his life. I hope that's what it's like when I die. If my life really flashes before my eyes, I want to be able to smile right at the end.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a funny idea to portray the "life flashing before your eyes" moment many say happens before you die. I think the twist of him being okay with dying was what made the humor work. Makes you want to have a job you love!
ReplyDeleteHmmmm very interesting, I think it is clever, not really my style but i still like it...It reminds me when you draw pictures on a sticky pad and then flip through it really fast, if he did it that way, it would take him a million years.
